First Post EVER

This is my first post so don't expect anything profound. I am just getting used to all of this blog stuff. But I will leave you with some idea of what this blog will cover.

The fiction part will refer to my current co-authorship of an urban fiction novel. We are currently looking for representation for our finished manuscript. Hopefully it will be the first book in a series. I will blog about the road to an agent as well as writing the next novels in the series.

The family aspect will contain thoughts on family life. I am the youngest of 7 children as well as a wife and the mother of a soon to be 1 year old. I am a stay at home mom and currently 32 weeks into my second pregnancy. So as life gets crazy as it often does I will weigh in on that.

As far the science portion of this blog goes. I hold my Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering so whenever some interesting bit of science/medical news crosses my path I will probably post it as well as add my own take on the subject.
